Aramis Justiz
Aramis Justiz works in visual arts in general, mainly in sculpture, but he also express himself though printmaking and photography. He uses traditional materials, combining them on many occasions to enrich the final result. He has transitioned during his career from the figurative to the abstract and back to the figurative, from sculpture to photography, printmaking and digital art. His works transmit harmony and spiritual peace, "emotions that are in short supply in the tumultuous world we live in, and which help us be better people", says the artist.
Graduated from San Alejandro National Fine Arts School, Aramis Justiz (Havana, Cuba,1964).has presented his works in 12 solo exhibitions in Cuba, and more than 20 group exhibitions in Cuba, Spain, Germany and the USA. His sculptures form part of private and public collections. Justiz has attended a number of sculpture events such as the Havana Biennial (Cuba), the National Sculpture Symposium in Bayamo, Cuba, and the Sculpture Symposium in Fordongianus, Italy, among other. His public work can be seen in Cuba, Brusque, Brazil, and Penza, Russia et al. He was awarded the 1st prize at the International Sculpture Symposium in Vilnoja (Lituania).
