Jorge Rodríguez
Jorge Rodriguez figures emerge from exercises related to symbolic thought and use irony as a starting point for reflections on personal experiences as well as on cultural and social references. The presence of images about a frivolous, repetitive, serialized world sometimes refers to metaphysic and religious preoccupations and to subjects such as consumerism and genetic transformations. His works create contrasts, manipulate the psychology of the characters and raise generic social issues, while becoming almost expressionistic studies of reality.
