José A. Nazabal
José Angel Nazabal works mainly in drawing, painting and digital art, exploring symbolic and cultural constructions around the body and proposing an enquiry into the contemporary notion of eros.
His visual work analyses the social constructions of queer subjectivities and replaces the 'epic' image of the hero with the exploration of minorities representing peripheric and outside realities. His work extrapolates the 'camp' imaginary and poses a question on queer citizenship.
José Ángel Nazabal (Havana, Cuba, 1994) is graduated from San Alejandro Fine Arts National School and hold also a degre in Architecture and Urban Planning of the Polytechnic Institute of Havana.
